Haute Event: You Are Not Alone Event at Mercadito Midtown

On Tuesday, Nov. 2, Mercadito Midtown and some of Miami’s most influential businessmen and women, politicians, socialites, philanthropists and media personalities hosted a special event entitled, “You Are Not Alone” in support of The Trevor Project, the leading national organization dedicated to gay suicide prevention efforts.

The restaurant was a full house — both inside and out — with supporters of the cause, who were treated to signature Mercadito cocktails and performances by Cirque du Soleil-style acrobats. And although overall the evening was jovial, the grave purpose behind the event was never forgotten. In only two hours, close to $2,000 was raised by cash donations alone (which were neither required nor requested).
