Haute Event: Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger Honored at NRDC’s 40th Anniversary Celebration

On Thursday, Oct. 28, the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) hosted a joint anniversary celebration at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco. E2 was celebrating its 10th anniversary, while the NRDC was celebrating its 40th.

More than 400 guests attended the event, which raised more than $500,000. During the evening, E2 presented Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger with its first ever E2 Climate Leadership Award.

E2 is one of the first groups of businessmen and women to join together in support of the environment and to encourage businesses to become more eco-friendly. With more than 850 members throughout the country, E2 has helped start more than 1000 companies and to create more than 500,000 jobs. They are supported by the NRDC, the most effective environmental group in the United States, comprised of more than a million members and activists who are dedicated to protecting the environment.
