Haute Event: Chanel Hosts “The Secrets of the Handbag”

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, and Wednesday, Nov. 10, the Chanel boutique in San Francisco hosted two private receptions held by two high-profile Bay Area women and where guests could partake in the unique experience to personalize a Chanel classic handbag and receive a preview of Les Secrets Du Sac (The Secrets of the Handbag) exhibit.

On the Nov. 9,  Marissa Mayer, the vice president of geographic and local services at Google, who hosted a cocktail reception. The very next day, at an intimate luncheon, Alexis Traina held a similar event for a daytime luncheon.

The Secrets of the Handbag exhibition opened up to the public over the weekend, which explored the history of the infamous Chanel handbag including what’s expected in the upcoming collections.
