Go-To Guy: the John Hardy Personal Appearance
Go for the gold! South Coast Plaza’s Saks Fifth Avenue played host to a John Hardy personal appearance on Nov. 18, where fans of statement jewelry and glittering gold gathered for a light brunch with the brand’s creative director and head designer, Guy Bedarida. Teaming with the Center for Living Peace, there was plenty of sparkle on the store’s third floor.
John Hardy’s latest collection was on display, as well as an exclusive look at the Cinta collection. As usual, there were pieces inspired by the brand’s home base of Bali, with plenty of serpentine shapes, dragons and more — but this season, Guy Bedarida was also inspired by a trip to the City of Lights. Parisian sexiness, sensual shapes and high-polish pieces were the highlight of the Fall 2010 collection.
For die-hard Hardy fans, however, there was another reason to come out in their best baubles. Bedarida was on hand to narrate an intimate look at the brand’s headquarters in Bali, giving the brand’s faithful a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see pieces being created from start to finish.
A portion of the sales from the event were donated to Irvine’s Center for Living Peace, an organization working to show families and individuals the importance of the arts, environmentalism, inner growth and peace making.
Saks Fifth Avenue is located at 3333 Bristol St. at South Coast Plaza, in Costa Mesa.
