Dori’s World: Technogym Opening, Barneys “Foodie Holiday” and The Mark

Tuesday night I was decked out in a pink Peter Som dress with gold Brian Atwood Maniac shoes and Jack Vartanian jewelry. My first stop for for the evening was to the opening of Technogym in SoHo. They definitely have the sickest, most high-tech equipment and machines, like treadmills with Twitter and Facebook on them. Mayor Bloomberg was there as well as Jesus Lux (Madonna’s ex), Valery and Revi joseph, Veronica Webb, Jen Raines, Liz Cohen, Jen Brown, Di Petroff, Alex Kramer, Larrain Larain, Courtney Glasser and Ali Wise.

Then Jason Pomeranc and I met Lizzie and Jon Tisch at an event they were hosting for Lee Schrager and the launch of his new cookbook for Barneys New York’s “Have Foodie Holiday.” The book is called Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival Cookbook and contains recipes and behind-the scenes stories from some of the most famous chefs in the U.S. I must say I have never seen Barneys so pumping. There were food stations galore, music, glamorous people, foodie people, Mark Strausman the chef from Fred’s, Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse, John DeLucie from The Lion, Jason and Haley Binn, Gael Greene, Drew Neiporent, Fern Mallis, Rocco DiSpirito and Bobby Flay.

Then we were off to The Mark for dinner with Jon, Lizzie, Jason and Emily Smith. We ran into Jen Krell, who just came from a movie that Valentino hosted. So much going on Tuesday night in New York City!
