Haute Event: St. Anthony’s Raising the Roof Gala 2010
On Oct. 7, the St. Anthony Foundation kicked off their 60th anniversary with their Raise the Roof gala, which was held in a clear tent with views of City Hall. The event raised almost $600,000 for the new St. Anthony Dining Room. The gala was emceed by Liz Saint John from Alice 97.3 while guests bid on exciting auction lots including trips to Bali and “chef for a day” at Chez Panisse.
The gala’s honorary chairs were Dr. Suzanne Giraudo (CPMC), Sandra Hernandez, M.D. (San Francisco Foundation), Judy Li (CPMC), Pam Moore (KRON-4), Maura Morey, Diane B. Wilsey and Diane zumBrunnen. Honorary chairs emeritus are Art Agnos, Nancy Bechtel, Willie Brown, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, The Hellman Family, Frank Jordan, Mayor Gavin Newsom, Paul and Sandy Otellini. St. Anthony’s is a private donation-based charity that is dedicated to helping individuals and families who are suffering from poverty.
