News | October 6, 2010

On Thursday, Sept. 30, Bloomingdales of San Francisco, along with Vogue Magazine, held a private event for the fall collection of Ports 1961. The presentation also included a preview of the spring 2011 collection and showed a total of 24 looks by designer Fiona Cibani.

A mixture of feminine and contemporary sophistication, the label caters to clients such as Olivia Palermo, Debra Messing and Nicky Hilton. At the show, hors d’oeuvres and drinks were served to some of San Francisco’s elite. Some of the attendees included Rachel May, Mai Le and Joy Bianchi.

The collection itself was described by the designer as having “an old artisan feel,” and included details such as silks, jerseys, leather and corset details. One of the standout pieces was the licorice wool and leather cape coat which portrayed some of the finest craftsmanship.
