Haute Happening: Somerville’s First Annual Harvest Fest

News | October 9, 2010

Somerville, the United States’ most artist-and-creative-type populous city behind only Brooklyn, has reason to celebrate its unique flavor once again, with its first annual Harvest Fest.

Harvest Fest is presented by Somerville Local First, an organization dedicated to supporting local businesses and culture.  The event, held at the recently renovated Armory for the Arts, is a two-session fundraiser (guests may opt to attend from 1-5 p.m. or from 6-10 p.m.), with proceeds going back to the very community which hosts these spirited festivities.

Food and spirits will be provided by delectable newcomer Foundry on Elm, neighborhood favorite Highland Kitchen, and kitsch-around-the-corner, Trina’s Starlite Lounge. Jamming, grooving and moving will be provided courtesy of local groups Sea Monsters and Zebbler Encanti Experience.

With so much to do, see and taste, we recommend jumping the shark and splurging on tickets for both sessions—while tickets, which are predicted to sell out, last.
