The Humane Event: Presented by the 1873 Society Club
As a proud pet owner, my female shih-poo Jules is absolutely adorable, I have a soft spot for animals. Let’s face it, even on your worst day one look at their angelic little faces and unconditional love is enough to bring instant joy. On Friday October 1, at the W Downtown Atlanta, the Atlanta Humane Society is sponsoring The Humane Event presented by the 1873 Society Club, a fundraiser for the safety and wellness of Atlanta’s furry friends. Do some good for the community and prepare to have a few puppies steal your heart.
The 1873 Society Club consists of philanthropists and professionals committed to raising funds and awareness that coincide with the overall mission of the Atlanta Humane Society. Their inaugural fundraiser, The Humane Event, will see all its proceeds for the next two years go directly to the medical and emotional treatment for rescue dogs obtained from fighting rings.
Located at the W Downtown Atlanta’s WETBAR, it is more than just a fundraiser; this event features food, dancing, spirits and pet art. Catered by the popular restaurant BLT Steak, delicious tapas and desserts are offered in addition to clever signature cocktails related to the event theme. DJ Gman takes to the turntables to spin the hottest hits to keep you dancing all night long. Innovative pop pet art and cuddly puppies round out the evening’s attractions. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person, $300 per couple.
