San Diego Restaurant Week 9/19-9/24/10!

It’s San Diego Restaurant Week! It is now the seventh year of San Diego Restaurant Week, and this year is going to be every bit as amazing as the past six! In it’s creation, this event was created to showcase the amazing dining opportunities in San Diego, and now with it happening twice a year, restaurant week is a big event in our great city! Featuring more than 180 of San Diego’s top restaurants, all showcasing their favorite three-course meals to anyone wanting to experience the delicious fare they dish up! Reservations are stongly suggested, as this event is huge and open to the entire city to enjoy, should they all come out.

Organized and ran by the  California Restaurant Association’s San Diego County Chapter, it is being held this week, September 19-24, 2010, and then again the week of January 16-21, 2011. The way you join in the fun is to attend any of the particpating restaurants and enjoy their special prix fixe dinner menus, as provided to you by the venue. It’s a great way to try a restaurant you’ve been thinking of visiting, or finding a new dish at an old favorite of your own. This year you’re not only enjoying amazing food, though, you’re also helping a great cause! This year the event has joined up to benefit the Educational Committee of the San Diego Chapter of the California Restaurant Association to raise funds for all kinds of educational programs for local schools. The funds are being facilitated through a county fund within the state’s CRA Educational Foundation. So not only are you going to get an amazing meal at a fantastic restaurant, you’re also going to be aiding our county’s children in their educational pursuits!
