Pizza and Prosecco at Fred’s For Two

Oh does Fred’s at Barneys New York in Scottsdale have a treat for you. On Friday, Oct. 1, the eatery will be introducing a brand-new, scrumptious special, involving wine and one of everyone’s favorite round foods: gourmet pizza.

If just looking at the pizza pictured above makes your taste buds crave the circular cuisine, we’ll tell you exactly how you can get your hands on this Emilia Romagna white pizza, made with mozzarella, Parmesan and drizzled with reduced aged Balsamico.

This Friday, Fred’s at Barneys inside Scottsdale Fashion Square kicks off its weekly Pizza & Prosecco special from 5 to 8 p.m. Choose any one of the restaurant’s artisan pizzas, along with two glasses of Prosecco, for just $18, then enjoy as DJ Mr. P-body spins eclectic beats in the bar area from 5 to 7 p.m.

Famous for the skill and attention to detail involved in their creation, Fred’s artisan pizzas all begin with dough made purely from King Arthur flour, that’s then kneaded and fermented in the traditional Neapolitan style. The Monini olive oil, too, is as authentic as can be, made from 100-percent Italian olives from the ancient city of Spoleto, located in the heart of the Mediterranean country.

In addition to the Emilia Romagna, other pizzas on Fred’s current menu include the classic Margherita, made with mozzarella, tomato, basil and olive oil; the Italiano, made with mozzarella, tomato, freshly ground hot and sweet sausage and roasted peppers; the Prosciutto with Arugula & Shaved Parmesan Cheese, made with thinly sliced Parma ham, tomato, mozzarella and arugula; and the Pizza Campagna, made with mushrooms, caramelized onions and sliced salami.
