The premise of Bubble Thursdays is the opportunity to sample the award-winning champagne and the extensive (and equally impressive) wine list offered at Buckhead hot spot Bluepointe for half-price. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. and offered until closing at 11 p.m., Bubble Thursdays also pairs the best of the bubbly with great tapas, entrees and desserts to ensure that the customer receives the full scope of what Bluepointe has to offer. Executive Chef Doug Turbush creates absolutely mouth-watering food that is some of the city’s most creative and adventurous. A few menu favorites that are perfect with champagne (or any other cocktail) include: the tuna sashimi ceviche, signature crab cakes, siu mai shrimp dumplings, soy seasoned butterfish, Atlantic salmon and the signature Bluepointe sushi roll. If the food wasn’t enough to tempt you, then you must try a few of their innovative cocktails. My personal favorite is the Serendipity cocktail which is a combination of Van Gogh acai-blueberry vodka, crème de cassis, a splash of cranberry juice and crushed raspberries over ice. Yummy! Honorable mention goes to the Fortune, a signature martini that has Van Gogh pomegranate vodka, rose’s pomegranate mix, sour mix and topped off with cranberry juice.
With so much to choose from on Thursdays, you may have to muster up the energy to party the rest of the weekend.
