Well if all things Italiano is your thing, the seventh Annual Cinema Italiano has got you covered featuring award-winning performers, directors and their respective flicks over a four-day period at the Kahala Mall Theaters. The film fest kicks off this Thursday with the opening night gala from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m. just above the theaters. Enjoy a bit of bubbly and pupu before delving into the sure to be charming, humorous, stylish and fanciful films of Cinema Italiano.

Friday, Sept. 24: Eat & Drink Italiano!
Cinema Italiano got you craving pizza, pasta, mozzarella and ricotta? If so, Hoku’s at the Kahala Hotel and Resort is serving up a special menu inspired by the Italian Film Festival. From Sept. 22 to Sept. 26, indulge in a pre-fixe menu featuring burrata, roasted beet and arugula pizza; porcini, pancetta, treviso and day boat scallops; and ricotta panna cotta with espresso gelee. The Italian-inspired menu will be available nightly from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 25: Sip & Swing
Music makes the people come together. And it’s safe to say wine does the same! So, if you can’t get enough of either, time to book a flight to Kauai for the inaugural 2010 Westin Princeville Jazz and Wine Festival. Hawaii kama‘āina (locals) and visitors alike are invited to mix, mingle and savor an evening of contemporary jazz, Kauai farm-to-table cuisine and sustainable, and bio-dynamic wine on the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort’s main lawn from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets for this event are $95 per person.
