Haute Sips
Once in a blue moon this girl needs an adult beverage, thankfully I have just turned 21 and I am in the clear to indulge myself, relieve some stress and take the edge off of my day. Phew!
So, this past weekend while I was sipping limes bathing in Patron and soda water (my version of a margarita) when a man dumped something into my drink. Normally, this sort of behavior would be socially unacceptable and the authorities would have to be called, but thankfully he is my friend. Although my safety may now not be in jeopardy, my low calorie concoction has just become questionable.
As I am cussing him out for lacing my drink with sugar, he turns to me with his famous grin and hands me a small packet. It reads SlimStix, and is similar to that of a Crystal Light On-the-Go pack. I am then sucker punched with the claim of “0 calories.”
Amused, I take my first sip and am shocked that it tastes as good as it sounds. So thus begins my series of 50 questions. SlimStix is a mixture that contains 0 calories, 0 carbs, is sweetened with Aspartame and contains Vitamins B and C. You can choose between a margarita, cosmopolitan or mojito and they are small enough it fit into the smallest purse that even your lipstick cannot squeeze into. The best part is that it disguises the icky alcohol taste brilliantly all the while not adding anything extra to your drink besides flavor.
