Donald J. Pliner launched his eponymous line of luxury footwear in 1989. His success in the industry took off and by 2004 he was inducted into the Footwear News Hall of Fame. Though his corporate offices are in Manhattan, Pliner and his wife Lisa, who is also the creative director for the brand, call Miami home.

Pliner will grace events such as Fall Fashion in the Park and Santana Row’s 6th annual celebration of fashion and philanthropy along with “Project Runway” Season 7 favorite Jay Nicolas Sario. The event will be hosted on Sept. 10-11 and will include two days of decadent parties, luxurious shopping events and runway shows aiding San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, EHC LifeBuilders, National Charity League and Junior League of San Jose.

The private sale site, HauteLook, recently launched Men.HauteLook.com, which will feature Donald Pliner along with other high-end menswear brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Puma, Penguin and Ben Sherman.
