Haute Dining on Wheels
After the police cracked down on street vendors, snacking on the go has not nearly been as satisfying for busy commuters. Enter the gaztro-wagon. A simple idea to bring amazing street food to Chicago and revolutionize the mobile dining scene with fresh, seasonal driven fare out of a converted postal truck.
Thus, welcome the Naan-Wich – a gourmet sandwich made out of high-end ingredients and served on the delectable Indian flat bread. With an ever changing menu, sample items include wild boar with fennel, olives and yogurt, pork shoulder with radish, cilantro and queso, and slow roasted lamb with gyro fixin’s.
And we like scavenger hunts. There’s no specific location, time, schedule or plan for the truck. They just hop around different areas of the city every day, surprising residents with a unique meal you can’t find in your local neighborhood. You can also stalk their journey on twitter @wherezthewagon. Those new geotags do come in handy.
Fast. fresh and gourmet to go, coming soon to a curb near you. That’s one delivery we support.
