Big Laughs: Aziz Ansari at the Tabernacle

Fresh off his hilarious stint on the MTV Video Music Awards last night, in-demand comedian Aziz Ansari brings his laugh-a-minute stand-up tour Dangerously Delicious to Atlanta this Saturday night at the Tabernacle. Be sure to check him out as Atlanta audiences are in for a side-splitting ride.

Fans of the hit NBC show Parks and Recreation are already very familiar with Ansari and his weekly antics and brilliant comedic timing, but to fully grasp just how incredibly funny he truly is you must check him out live where he is totally raw, unfiltered and hilarious. Sure, films like I Love You, Man, Funny People and this summer’s box-office hit Get Him to the Greek showcased his immense talent, but when you see an Ansari stand-up show you will have an even better appreciation of this rising comedian’s considerable talents.

Touching on such subjects such as politics, childhood, relationships and his now infamous anecdotes of spending time with hip-hop superstar Kanye West, his live show is sure to have something that everyone can relate to. The deadpan delivery of his storytelling makes even little gestures and facial expressions so funny that you will be hard-pressed not to share his comedic routine around the water cooler the next day.

The demand this summer for the Dangerously Delicious tour has been so great that several additional dates were added, taking it well over into the latter part of October. What’s next for the young rising star? He is currently filming 30 Minutes or Less with Eastbound & Down star Danny McBride and season three of Parks and Recreation will air sometime at the beginning of 2011. Ansari performs two shows Saturday at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. tickets are $41.50 and are still available.

Tabernacle is located at 152 Luckie St., 404.659.9022.
