Betsey Johnson Spring 2011 : Iconic Bike Ride

Life is but a stage, and for Betsey Johnson that includes the runway. The always colorful, vivacious and uber creative Betsey Johnson took us for a bicycle ride around Manhattan and Brooklyn for her Spring 2011 show

Six mini collections were sent down the runway. From Brooklyn’s vivacious punk street wear with bicycle chains and blinged-out Ride Me necklaces to the South Street Seaport’s sail away with pick-me-up sailor gear, it was most certainly a pavement chasing spin around New York City. The show culminated with a billowing celebration of colors to rock out in Times Square.

Attendance included a well-attired star studded front row Carmen Electra, Kristin Cavallari, Angela Simmons, Ciara, Denise Richards, and Kelly Osbourne.

For the grand finale Betsey rode down the runway on her two-speed did a clean cartwheel and a side collapse in front of the photographers, reminding us to not always take life so seriously, but to have fun through the ups and downs of it all.
