Mecca Just Got a New Luxury Hotel
Raffles just opened their latest, and perhaps — their greatest — in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It is directly connected to the Abraj Al Bait complex, directly attached to the Grand Mosque.
Raffles Makkah has approximately 213 suites, but the creme de la creme can be found in two specific spaces: The Presidential Suite, and the Royal Suites.
Royal Suites
For the absolute summit in residential splendor, these truly spectacular suites offer a majestic 160 meters (approximately 1,800 square feet) of space, overlooking a sweeping panoramic view of the Ka’aba and providing a prime location within the hotel. There are two bedrooms at opposite ends of the suite; in between lie a large and exquisitely-decorated living area, dining room, kitchenette, dressing room and desk in its own designated work or writing space, as well as a beautifully-appointed entrance foyer for welcoming guests. Three luxuriant bathrooms each feature a separate area for ablutions. Twenty-four hour butler service is provided, and a complimentary selection of freshly-baked pastries, canapés and special chocolates is delivered three times a day.
Presidential Suites
These magnificent suites offer 120 square meters (approximately 1,300 square feet) of beautifully-appointed and artistically-decorated space in which to relax, entertain and contemplate the majesty of one’s surroundings. There are two spacious and private bedrooms; a splendid living and dining area that features the coziness of a traditional home, along with the latest in high technology; and three separate bathrooms, each with its own designated area for ablutions. Two inspiring views are offered: the Ka’aba and Central Makkah.
