Kimberly McDonald’s New Sea Turtle Macrame Bracelet
Esteemed fine jewelry designer, Kimberly McDonald, whose work is deeply influenced by nature, recently created a limited edition bracelet collection for the express purpose of raising funds for the National Wildlife Federation’s efforts in rescuing the animals. Named the “Sea Turtle Macrame Bracelet,” 100% of all profits from their sale are going towards NWF’s efforts to respond to the wildlife crisis unfolding in the Gulf.
The designer, who was recently inducted to the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) said that “When I learned about the amazing work that the National Wildlife Federation is doing to support wildlife rescue and rehabilitation efforts in the Gulf, I immediately knew that I needed to do everything in my power to support their efforts in easing the devastation occurring to our wildlife.”
The bracelets retail for $2,000 – $2,500 and are available exclusively at the Mitchells Family of Stores – Mitchells in Westport, Connecticut (203.227.5165); Richards in Greenwich, Connecticut (203.622.0551); Marsh’s in Huntington, New York (631.423.1660) and Wilkes Bashford in San Francisco (415.986.4380) and Wilkes Bashford in Palo Alto, California (650.322.7080). The Mitchell Family of Stores have also foregone any profits on these bracelets in support of this great cause.
The beautiful bracelets have already been spotted on celebrities Sophia Bush and Kara DioGuardi.
Kimberly says “It is my hope that the collection will inspire people to get involved and take the state of our environment seriously. At the end we hope to protect vulnerable species such as the sea turtle by raising more than $80,000 for NWF.”
