Go First Class at the AC Airshow

It doesn’t take much to convince me to head to the shore. I love me some sun and some sand. This Wednesday, August 25, you can add some serious sky views to that list as shore goers enjoy one of the country’s most renown airshows taking flight above the Atlantic City boardwalk.

The 2010 Atlantic City Airshow — aptly dubbed Thunder Over the Boardwalk — is that perfect blend of tough military power and jaw-dropping aerobatics that men seem to turn into grade schoolers for. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Army Golden Knights, the Brazilian Smoke Squadron and many more fleets will be on hand to shoot through the blue.

Acts will include paratroopers and drops as low as 50 feet above the beach, requiring proper seating for the very best view. Sure, you could head to the boardwalk and hope for the best, but we’ve found two spots that will allow you to view VIP-style.

Flight Line Club VIP section: Onsite, beach-front seating is as close to the action as you can get, and comes with all you can eat and drink beach-style treats. $50 per person, tickets available at 609-813-2121 or at the AC Boardwalk Hall Box Office.

The Pier Shops at Caesars Surf Deck: The best shopping in AC also sports a stunning panoramic view of the shore and show. There are only 500 spots available, first come, first serve. Grab a lanyard for access starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the Pier’s West Loading Dock.

The 2010 Atlantic City Airshow runs from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.atlanticcitynj.com.
