Dori’s World: Trip to Portofino, Italy
Barry Gesser and I sailed his boat, Salu to Portofino, Italy, which was just like I remember it. The town is picturesque with the boats on the water and the amazing beach club. Armani and Dolce & Gabbana have homes there. We had a fabulous dinner at Hotel Splendido where Jen Raines and I sang with the piano man. One night, I spent 5,000 Euros (well Barry did) on massages, eyelashes, and facials. We had four ladies on the boat doing treatments for hours — what a pampering trip! They sailed the boat back, but I had a driver take me to St Tropez for the night of the 31st so I could go to Jean-Jacques and Tony Murrary’s annual party.
