Rachel Heller’s Hamptons Weekend

Friday night I drove out to Southampton and surprisingly there was no traffic! I was in the mood for seafood and took it upon myself to go to Brewster’s. I love their lobster rolls and steamers. I was exhausted from the long work week, and kept reflecting upon my day and my special atelier visit to Maggie Norris’. She is a designer who has had her clothing featured on the cover of Vanity Fair and numerous magazines. She told me that she had the great pleasure of meeting my favorite actress none other than Audrey Hepburn. Her designs were like sculptures even when taken away from the body. When speaking to Maggie one feels as if they are transported into the life of a true creative artist. Her elegance and grace have enlightened my outlook on design and style.

Saturday morning, I dined at 75 Main. My good friend Zach just took over the hot spot. Saturday night the place is a fun club with great music and for Sunday brunch they hire different deejays each evening to create a young and fun atmosphere and lounge like vibe. The artist Raphael Mazzuco and Chris Brown’s work makes the restaurant very colorful. The restaurant is always so busy and full of great energy.

There wasn’t too much sun today, so I walked around the town and checked out some new stores such as Organic Avenue. I had the best mozzarella and tomato salad at Sant Ambroeus. After such a good lunch I needed to think of what to do for the evening and rest of the afternoon. I decided to attend the Parrish Art Museum cocktail hour. It was a very elegant crowd. The Parrish is every summer and brings the best artsy crowd to celebrate an evening of dinner, dancing, cocktails and culture. After The Parrish, I went so Suki Zuki and had my favorite tuna sandwiches. They are made with spicy tuna and are to die for. I also tasted the scallops. I was a big fan of the food and definitely would go back again.

Later in the evening I ventured over to RDV and had a nice time outside in the outdoor lounge, but still wanted the fun dance vibe which I found more of at the Axe Lounge. To cap off the weekend, I took a long walk on the beach.
