Cool off with a Dyson Fan
Fans certainly have come a long way since the clunky box fan I used in college. Thanks to Dyson’s masterminds it’s now reached another level. And no wonder, as one third of the company employees are engineers and scientists. Moreover, Dyson has over 1,300 patents and patent applications for over 300 different inventions.
Dyson first introduced Air Multiplier™ technology in October 2009. The new technology does away with fan blades and that’s a relief. Not only are fan blades not aesthetically appealing, they are notorious for collecting dust, difficult to clean and take up too much space. Dyson’s fan is everything but the before mentioned. The airflow is smooth, clean and simply brilliant for modern day living. It’s sleek design is certainly not the eyesore of the old box fan. The Dyson fan is also very low on noise, which is a most definite plus in the noise polluted environment of New York City.
The fan comes in a variety of sizes: a ten inch table fan ($299), a twelve inch table fan ($329) and now two floor sizes, a Tower ($449) and a Pedestal ($449).
