A Reason for the Heat: Outdoor Bikram Yoga at Dubai’s Core Studio

Dubai’s high temperatures should be good for something, right? Despite our recent hesitation to journey outdoors into the what often feels like a furnace, the hot weather might be good for one thing: Bikram Yoga. Core Studio in Dubai Marina Walk Park is taking advantage of the heat and offering Bikram Yoga classes outdoors.

For the months of July and August Core Studio is introducing sessions of Bikram Yoga comprised of 26 poses performed in 40 degree Celsius heat with 40 percent humidity. This sounds exactly like current Dubai temperatures. So while most people have to pay to get their Bikram experience in sauna-like heat, Dubai residents can take their practice outdoors. Bikram yoga is said to burn some 600 calories during a 90-minute session, literally one of the best ways to get slim and fit quickly. So take advantage of the Dubai climate, get your yoga mat, and take your practice outdoors.
