Rizzoli to Release Matthew Williamson Fashion Tome in October

News | June 25, 2010

The latest tome from Rizzoli may debut a bit late for your summer reading list, but it does come in time for this fall’s frenzy of fashion weeks in New York, London, Paris, and Milan. And we can all certainly use a little light reading as we jet between cities to check out the latest creations in fashion. Matthew Williamson, a 256-page hardcover will feature 200 color and black and white images of the British fashion designer’s eponymous collections. Williamson penned the intro himself, and founder and creative director of Fashion Fringe at Covent Garden, Colin McDowell wrote the book.

British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman and Matthew Williamson partner and CEO Joseph Velosa contributed their written word to opening chapters, and famous pal Sienna Miller has a few nice things to say about Williamson: “When I step into one of Matthew’s dresses I feel like I am stepping into his world, which is colourful, ethereal and dreamlike.”

Matthew Williamson debuts in October from Rizzoli, and we can all look forward to a proper British fete during London Fashion Week.
