The Golden Gala 2010: A Golden State of Mind

News | May 19, 2010

On May 8, Event Chair Jennifer Walker and Honorary Chair John Lasseter, Director & Chief Creative Officer of Pixar welcomed guests to an elegant evening in honor of the re-opening of the Oakland Museum of California. The Golden Gala 2010: A Golden State of Mind was inspired by the museum’s recent renovations including gorgeous galleries, stunning garden, and spacious terraces, all of which created the perfect backdrop for this event.

Upon arrival, attendees were met with glasses of champagne, Trader Vic’s mai tai reception, and some musical entertainment by Times 4. Afterward, the crowd enjoyed delicious California cuisine courtesy of Barbara Llewellyn Catering. Partygoers capped off the night with dancing and a thrilling auction featuring incredible items. The event’s proceeds benefited the museum and the expansion of its educational programs.
