Solving Kids Cancer Hosts Spring Celebration Event

Solving Kids’ Cancer celebrated their inaugural Spring Celebration Event, which was held on May 12 in the Powerhouse space at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. A silent auction highlighted the evening as guests bid on items such as a painting by renowned artist Brian Farrell as well as a private art lesson in his New York Studio and an 8-day cruise courtesy of Variety Cruises.

There was also a live auction led by philanthropist Amy Sacco and comedian/actor Seth Herzog, which included a unique opportunity to sponsor an innovative and original pediatric cancer therapeutic trial The evening raised an astounding $400,000 for charity, thanks to the event’s hosts, Solving Kids’ Cancer co-founders John London and Scott Kennedy.

Alexander Dexter-Jones, from the Dexter-Jones/Ronson musical empire provided floor-thumping beats from the DJ booth, while attendees also enjoyed a thrilling performance by three time Grammy award-winning artist Shawn Colvin.

Guests in attendance included Fredrick Anderson, Nigel Barker, Liliana Cavendish, Janis Gardner Cecil, Gabby Karan De Felice, Diandra Douglas, Douglas Hannant, Marcia Gay Harden, Carolina Herrera, Russell James, Donna Karan, Nanette Lepore, and Sonja T. Morgan.
