notMYkid Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Disco Party & Gala

The non-profit organization notMYkid celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a Disco Party and Gala at the Motelucia Resort & Spa. Over 400 guests arrived in bell-bottoms, platform shoes, and bright colors for the 70’s themed event, which raised more than $300,000 for the organization and its initiatives.

Lisa Henry-Holmes and Jill Woods co-chaired the event, which featured an address by notMYkid founder Debbie Moak, as well as presentations made by past and present notMYkid speakers.

Goals for the organization include providing education and assistance to parents, teachers, and students regarding teen behavioral issues. The funds raised by this event will have a huge impact on the community because of the impending budget cuts for schools on the federal and state levels.
