New Edition of Haute Living San Francisco Now Online
In honor of June’s Auction Napa Valley, the world’s most successful charity wine auction, we focus the May/June edition of Haute Living San Francisco on wine country. Since the launch of Haute Living San Francisco in January 2009, we have been honored to feature some of Napa Valley’s most iconic names, including Francis Ford Coppola, Margrit Mondavi, and Gordon Getty. Getty’s investment in PlumpJack Group’s CADE Winery led us to feature him on the cover of the May/June 2009 edition, which was focused on the wine industry in honor of Auction Napa Valley.
For this year’s Napa Valley issue, we are honored to feature H. William Harlan on our cover. Outside of Robert Mondavi, no man has done more to protect and enhance the legacy of the region than Bill. As owner of Meadowood Napa Valley, the Napa Valley Reserve, Harlan Estate, and BOND Estates winery, he is building an legacy that will last for generations. He is a visionary man with unique philosophies, which I try to capture in an in-depth, 3,600-word profile.
Meadowood Napa Valley has hosted Auction Napa Valley since the event’s inception in 1981, and will do so again this June. This issue also includes a VIP guide to the four-day, 30-mile party. Haute Ambassador Genevieve Janssens, director of winemaking at Robert Mondavi Winery, also focuses her column on the event, and shares details about the auction lot from Robert Mondavi Winery. During the auction last year, Margrit Mondavi surprised attendees and threw in a coveted vintage from her personal wine collection, and bids skyrocketed—an inspiring moment that embodies the fun and charitable spirit of the event, which Haute Living is honored to participate in. We also feature Mark Harmon, CEO of Auberge Resorts, a company that played a vital role in establishing Napa Valley as a world-class destination.
The issue also includes increased fashion coverage, courtesy of our new Editor of Fashion and Luxury Meredith Mulligan, who joined our team in April. She worked with the art department to revamp the Haute Necessities section with a high-end fashion twist, and the new design gives ample space to feature her choices for trendy staples for the summer season. She also added an Haute Jewelry piece, featuring luxe jewels inspired by nature and animals. It’s an entirely new look for Haute Living, so we’d love to hear your feedback.
