Las Palmas Re-Opened by the h.wood Group Today, Just in Time for Cinco de Mayo

News | May 5, 2010

Revamped and ready for action the original Hollywood hotspot, Las Palmas, is going back to the basics. The h.wood group has taken on the legendary restaurant and nightlife destination and reverts back to the venue’s past. With plans to re-open on the anniversary of its original opening, Cinco de Mayo, (that’s today!) only select VIPs are invited to be the first to experience the rejuvenated venue. A grand opening is scheduled for May 12.

The revitalized space will be reminiscent of what shaped the Hollywood nightlife scene back in its heyday. When the venue opened in 1998 it took a grungy Mexican restaurant within the heart of Hollywood and transformed it into an L.A. hotspot. The design within Las Palmas was a dark atmosphere with colorful Spanish accents. The h.wood group has tapped back into its roots and restored the space, giving it a fresh new look.

The Hollywood nightclub is among others created by the h.wood group including the tea room and h.wood. The creators themselves are John Terzian, Brian Toll and Loyal Pennings.

The restaurant and lounge will serve a Mexican inspired menu with featured DJs from all around the world while catering to its most elite and exclusive members.
