International Museum of Women Presents Celebrating Change

The International Museum of Women invited guests to “Celebrating Change,” an annual benefit held in honor of the progress made by women in the United States as well as internationally. This year focused primarily on the advancements women have made in the global economy as entrepreneurs, artists, and philanthropists.

Hosting the event was the museum’s Board of Directors and Global Council consisting of 26 women leaders, they include Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland; Beatriz Merino, former Prime Minister of Peru; Zainab Salbi, Founder & CEO of Women for Women International; Mahnaz Afkhami, President & CEO of Women’s Learning Partnership for Rights; and Eve Ensler, Founder of V-Day.

Dinner attendees enjoyed the intimate setting created by the soothing sounds of World Music, elegant lighting, and sophisticated decor, as they indulged in pre-dinner cocktails and hors d ‘oeuvres.

Eventually everyone arrived at the south end of City View, where they enjoyed the program consisting of a keynote speaker and a Fund-A-Need live auction. Guests topped off the night with dancing and dessert as the north end of City View was converted into a club atmosphere.
