InterContinental Miami to Host Kick-Off Event for Make-A-Wish Ball

News | May 17, 2010

It’s getting to be that time of year again. It’s not holiday season; it’s not time to Basel; it is, in fact, time for some private pre-events to support and promote one of our favorite charity galas.

On Thursday, May 27, the InterContinental Miami is the place to be from 6 to 8 p.m. if you received your exclusive invitation for the cocktail reception kicking off the 16th annual InterContinental Miami Make-a-Wish Ball.

The Ball’s “Three Amigos,” identified as Norman Wedderburn, president/CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida; Shareef Malnik, ball chairman and proprietor of The Forge Restaurant & Wine Bar; and Robert Hill, gala host and general manager of InterContinental Miami, will be on-hand, guiding more than 200 guests through the cocktail hours with announcements, hors d’oeuvres, and a slideshow from last year’s ball, which raised more than $1 million for the nonprofit’s children in need.

As we mentioned, it is by invitation only, so if you haven’t seen yours arrive yet, perhaps a chat with your area postmaster is in order.
