Dori’s World: Jon Tisch’s Book Launch; Nicolas Berggruen & Richard Meier’s preview of “Meier on Rothschild”

While last night’s Whitney gala honoring Alexandre von Furstenberg was a huge NYC soiree not to be missed, so too was the launch of my good friend Jon Tisch’s new book, Citizen You. I mean, when you can get a beloved former president to show up at your event, that certainly makes quite a statement. In addition to former President Bill Clinton, also seen in the crowd of our country’s greats at the book launch were Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Lizzie Tisch, Gayle King, Marie-Josée Kravis, Harold Ford, and Jeff and Nancy Lane.

What we love about Manhanttan is the nonstop energy, and last night was a perfect display of it, because in addition to the Whitney and Jon Tisch’s book launch at MoMA, Nicolas Berggruen and Richard Meier had a cocktail party to preview their most recent collaboration “Meier on Rothschild,” a 37-story luxury tower in downtown Tel Aviv.

At the reception, which was held at Sotheby’s David Schulhof, Debbie and Harlan Peltz, Adam Lindemann, Frederick Iseman, and Richard and Chris Mack all showed up to show their support.
