American Cancer Society Hosts Youth Against Cancer Brunch

News | May 21, 2010

In support of their continuous battle against cancer, the American Cancer Society hosted a special Youth Against Cancer brunch, which included an exclusive performance of Broadway’s newest musical hit, The Addams Family. All proceeds benefited the ACS’s relentless efforts in research, education, advocacy, and services in hopes of continuously aiding patients and their families.

Special guests were Kenneth Cole and Maria Cuomo Cole’s three daughters, Jimmy Nederlander, and a group of 20 visitors arriving from Hope Lodge, a facility run and managed by the ACS and offers free, temporary housing for cancer patients and their families during the treatment process.

A delicious brunch at the historic theatre restaurant Sardi’s kicked off the exciting day as caricaturist Marlene Kryza created portraits. Following brunch, the crowd made their way to their center orchestra seats at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater, where they laughed hysterically during a matinee performance of The Addams Family.
