Wildlife Conservation Society’s Flight of Fancy Gala at the Central Park Zoo

News | April 28, 2010

On the evening of June 10, New York City’s Central Park Zoo is proud to host the Wildlife Conservation Societys annual Spring Gala. This year’s WCS event will feature GALA 2010: Flight of Fancy which centers on an extraordinary expansion of birds. Guests will be submerged into a world of birds from vibrant pink flamingos and waddling penguins to fierce soaring raptors.

The Wildlife Conservation Society has established itself as one of the largest and most accomplished conservation organizations in the world. It aims itself towards connecting people with wild nature in order to achieve its mission of saving wildlife and wild places throughout the world. With educational programs in all 50 states and 16 countries, WCS continues to move forward by educating 2 million children in school a year.

The event will give guests the opportunity to unite with nature’s wildlife. Birds not only provide viewers with a vivid display of vibrant colors and unique characteristic behaviors, but help to maintain the earth’s ecological balance by alerting shifts in climate change. Together, the society hopes to expand knowledge on the importance of wildlife beings.

Guests attending the event will enjoy cocktails, dinner and dancing with all the proceeds benefiting the WCS’s fight to protect the wild. Contact The Event Shop Ltd. at 973.233.1150 or wcs@eventshopltd.com for ticket information.
