Watch out Marc Jacobs, we’re not in Kansas anymore… Parsons Fashion Benefit 2010 on Pier Sixty NYC

Gushing champagne flutes, a red carpet filled with bold name celebrities, and student fashionistas amidst professional suits a plenty, cocktail hour at Pier Sixty was a bustle of energy in celebration of Parsons Fashion Benefit 2010 tonight.

Vera Wang, Candy Pratts Price, Joanna Coles, and Simon Collins were just a few of the names driving the celebrity guestlist. Patricia Field’s red hair flashed through the crowd, and supermodel Fernanda Motta grinned as she entered the scene on the arm of a spectacle wearing man. Catching up with Vivienne Tam, she told us of her recent trip to Paris.

While the night centered around honoring Vera Wang and Dr. William K. Fung, the next generation of fashion designers were not to be overshadowed as Parson students displayed their works on the balcony overlooking the Hudson River. Watch out Marc Jacobs, Lauren Greenland, your fellow soon to be Parsons alum, may be hot on your heels. If her razor sharp spiked stilettos, inspired by dentistry are any inclination of her future, two clicks of the ruby reds and Greenland won’t be in Kansas anymore.
