The Raphael House, “One Home, Many Hearts” Gala
The Raphael House will be celebrating its 2010 Benefit gala on April 17, 2010. This year the gala will take on a 1920s approach to celebrating with a “speakeasy” themed soiree. Festivities begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail and Champagne reception at the legendary Bimbo 365 club in North Beach neighborhood.
This year marks 38 years of service that the Raphael House has contributed to San Francisco families experiencing homelessness. Jessica Moment, Alyson Jackson, and Betty Kay Coakley are the chairs of the “One Home, Many Hearts” gala, which promises to be a roaring good time. So what can we expect from a social shindig such as this? Well we start off with gambling tables and prohibition-era inspired cocktails. A live auction will be held during dinner. Let’s not forget some memorable jazz with performances by the Richard Olsen Orchestra, and popular swing and some speakeasy tunes will keep the party going. Then guests will be serenaded with a special performance by former Raphael House resident and acclaimed jazz singer Amanda King.
Tickets are $300 per person and available now. As always for those who want to support Raphael House’s most important fundraiser but can’t help but be late, then dessert and drink tickets are available for $100 per person as well.
Now this is what we call a flashback. A 1920s themed gala at the place where it all took place: perfect, classic and above all a roaring great time.
