American Red Cross Hosts 28th Annual Ball

News | April 2, 2010

Over 400 of the most prestigious names in South Florida arrived at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne for the 28th Annual Ball hosted by the American Red Cross Greater Miami & The Keys on March 27. Those in attendance were pampered with lively entertainment, a mouth-watering dinner, and elegant decor.

Lavishness swarmed the room’s decor as guests gathered to commemorate the 28th Red Cross Ball and its years of charitable excellence. The organization raised $540,000 in support of local disaster response programs and other relief programs provided by the American Red Cross in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.

Local artists, Will Earl Spanheimer and Kelly Griffin thrilled attendees with intimate performances accentuated with the musical mastery of The Steve Chase Band. Guests enjoyed cocktails in the Bacardi Lounge as well as a silent auction featuring incredible packages from Azamara Cruises, Yachts of Seabourn, and Holland America.

The Red Cross Ball has served as a premier philanthropic event since 1982 and this year’s Mistress of Ceremonies was WPLG Ch. 10 anchor Laurie Jennings. Miami philanthropists, Trish and Dan Bell chaired the event.
