Vera Wang Tends to Fans on West Coast

News | March 10, 2010

Long beloved by Hollywood starlets, and synonymous with red carpet and wedding dresses, Vera Wang has opened up a store in Los Angeles, California, her third free-standing store, along with her two boutiques in New York.

Situated on trendy Melrose Avenue, which counts the Marc Jacobs and Diane Von Furstenberg stores as neighbors, the 4100 square-foot space houses Wang’s ready-to-wear and bridal collection.

The décor of the space is surprisingly antithesis to typical bridal fare and remains true to Wang’s easily identifiable sleek and elegant aesthetic – shades of gray, black and purple dominate amongst props such as hanging mannequins and glass wall waterfalls.

The opening last Thursday was feted by fans such as Reese Witherspoon, Renee Zellweger, Angie Harmon and figure skater, Evan Lysacek, whom Wang dressed for his performances in the recent Olympics.
