The NYC Stars Will Be Out on Saturday Night

On Saturday night in Los Angeles, they’re rolling out the red carpet for the Human Rights Campaign Awards, the nation’s largest LGBT civil rights organization.

Here in New York, on the same night, GLAAD will host its 21^st annual media awards dinner honoring Joy Behar who will receive the “Excellence in Media Award” and Cynthia Nixon, who will accept the “Vito Russo Award.”

It’s guaranteed to be a celeb-studded night, with Tony Award-winning actor Alan Cumming playing emcee for the evening. The guest list will be a who’s who of some of the great names of our times, including:

• Bryan Batt
• Rosie Perez
• Sandra Bernhard
• Nigel Barker
• Jay Manuel
• Robert Verdi
• Jill Zarin
• Michael Patrick King

Entertaining the crowds will be the Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR as well as the Youth Pride Chorus.
