Ports 1961 Video

$120/lb chocolate truffles, bubblies, and a private runway showing of Ports 1961 S/S 2010 collection with Vanity Fair on the sixth floor of at Bloomingdale’s at 59th and Madison was the perfect start to an eventful evening in Manhattan.

After a seemingly never ending upward climb of escalating escalators, through the fresh puffs mists of the newest couture fragrances, my co-pilot Melissa Brandt and I emerged on the scene of an midweek evening fit for a fashionista’s dream. With Ports 1961 designer Tia Cibani just arm lengths away, the press mulled around us in waves of camera flashes and video streams.

Looks from the S/S 2010 collection were presented on a raised petite black runway. Favorites included Kanji Lace Dress, Furoshiki Dress in Cherry. Lucite accessories made a trend statement, as well as geometric shoes. Following the showing, guests milled around La Maison du Chocolat table for samplings of mouth melting chocolate delicacies, the perfect finish to a delightful presentation.
