Piaget Sponsors the Independent Spirit Awards
It turned out to be a weekend full of awards with the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards dishing out accolades to the industry heavy weights. And what is any award show without a little glitz and glamour? That is where Piaget stepped in at the 25th Independent Spirit Awards, for the third year in a row they have sponsored the event. On March 5, 2010 independent filmmakers were honored for their artistic talents at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live. Among the big winner’s was the film Precious, which received a number of awards and Karin Chien, The Exploding Girl, Santa Mesa took home the Piaget Producers Award.
Furthering its ties with Hollywood, the event featured a Piaget lounge and celebrities such as Mariah Carey and Taraji P. Henson wearing Piaget. Since 1874, the Swiss watchmaker and jeweler Piaget has been synonymous with luxury. Today, through the various outlets of artistic expression such as design, video, music and fashion, Piaget explores and incorporates these elements into their exquisite collections.
