A Collective Culture, NYC’s Newest Haute Spot

News | March 10, 2010

We can’t expect things to stay the same forever. It would just be boring, and for a trendy place such as the Meat Packing District, boring is something it certainly will not do. With that said, the creative minds behind The One Group, who brought us STK House and Tenjune, are unveiling the next great haute spot for New York’s partygoers.

Housed in the former One Little West 12th, The Collective offers a quirky dining and lounging experience. The ultimate limbo destination for night owls around the city, The Collective strives to be the place where happy hour goers converge, friends gather for a sobering bite, or trendy dancers begin their evening romp fest.

The Collective’s style comes complements of the creative team at ICrave design. Recycled items are used to create a sort of relaxed and whimsical atmosphere. As Urbandaddy put it, “There’s art made out of slot machines, mechanical sculptures tacked to the ceiling, lighting that looks like robotic jellyfish and chairs made out of old street signs and streetlights (art imitating traffic).”

Not quite open yet, they are currently taking reservations. Let’s see how it fairs against the ever-changing canvas of the city.
