Hotel Zoso in Palm Springs, California, will house a very special charity event on Thursday, March 4, 2010. The event aims at raising funds to benefit the “Save the Children – Haiti Earthquake Children in Emergency Fund.” This wonderful gathering has been organized by Lorin and Elizabeth Dreyfuss, as well as Bill and Louise Saitta, in collaboration with Hotel Zoso.
Since the magnitude 7.0 earthquake rocked Haiti a month ago, “Save the Children” has been able to reach more than 170,000 children and adults by providing much needed food, medicines, and supplies. In addition, the organization has been working to protect vulnerable children by providing them safe spaces to play while trying to reunite the lost with their families.
Some of the best musical talent on the West Coast will perform at this event. Musical guests include Trini Lopez, Peter Marshall, Frankie Randall, Bill Marx, Mike Costley, Pat Rizzo, Steve Madaio, “Relatively Singing” duo Elizabeth Dreyfuss and Dela Zimmer, “The Bill Saitta Group”(Jay Lewis, Rod Kojolj, Dan Papaila),“Rodeo Drive” (Randy and Marilyn Tichauer) and others.
Tickets for the dinner and musical evening are $100 each, with $50 going directly to the “Save the Children of Haiti” foundation. There will also be a silent auction during the event, and items and contributions are beings accepted throughout the week. Anyone who would like to donate to the event can contact Lorin Dreyfuss at 760.668.3558. You can also go online to the “Save the Children” website to gather more information about their cause and to make a contribution.
For additional information on the event, or to purchase tickets, please contact Regina McGarth at rmcgrath@hotelzoso.net. We hope to see you there.
