Fashion Designer Alexander McQueen has Died
Breaking news from the U.K. this morning states that designer Alexander McQueen has died, a fact been confirmed by the fashion house, and speculation suggests it was a suicide. His death comes just days before the start of London fashion week and a month before he was to unveil his new collection at Paris fashion week. McQueen was one of Britain’s finest fashion exports and a protégé of the late Isabella Blow. As the designer’s career continued its stellar ascent, he went on to be awarded the CBE, was a four-time winner of the British designer of the year award and was named International Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designer Awards a total of three times. McQueen was an extraordinary talent and he will be greatly missed, may he rest in peace.
