Listings show that Ashley Olsen (not the twin with nutritional issues) put her home on the market. The current listing price shows the property at $1,399,000 compared to the $1,575,000 that the young actress originally paid for it. At any cost, the sale will be a loss, even for the tiny tycoon. Who says the rich do not suffer?
Olsen purchased the quaint Spanish style home back in December of 2007. The home is located in a Los Angeles neighborhood near the ultra exclusive Hancock Park. The 1928 property rests on the corner lot and spans 2,232 square feet. For anyone interested in a more modest abode, this one might be for you as it is a two-story, three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath space.
The bells and whistles include all the flair of the 20s style homes that Los Angeles is famous for: arched entryways, fireplace, beamed ceiling, French doors, wood floors in a chestnut colored herringbone pattern, and a greenhouse window. Once inside, a tiled stairway leads to the bedrooms and a balcony facing the backyard. The pool is situated just across the driveway, possibly allowing neighbors to see an impromptu bikini fashion show.
The twins left sunny California back in 2004 to try their next real life role as NYU students; however, they still kept their LA homes. It is unclear why Ms. Olsen decided to sell her place, naturally, but we’d venture to say perhaps she realized that quaint wasn’t her style after all. Safe to say that after the monetary loss dear Ashley will be taking, this will not be a happy sale.
