Apple’s New iPad Revealed

News | February 1, 2010

While there were months and months of rumors and hype, Steve Jobs finally revealed Apple Inc.’s latest gadget, the iPad. This new multimedia tablet computer device was revealed last week at a press event in San Francisco. Jobs, who recently received a liver transplant, demonstrated the touch-screen tablet that looks just like a giant iPhone while sitting in a leather chair onstage at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. We’re not sure how successful it will be, due to the fact that it performs most of the same things that an iTouch, iPod, and iPhone do, mixed with all Macbooks, but perhaps people will love that it has all of the capabilities melded into one gadget.  Last night’s Grammy Awards also plugged the new iPad, as Stephen Colbert joked to Jay-Z, “Jay-Z, did you not get one of these in your gift bag? Am I cooler than you?” The iPad starts at the low price of $499.
