What should we be wearing in 2010? Spring/Summer 2010 runways were booming with ideas last year, and although some were outrageously cool or incredibly chic, everyone knows that only a few are day-to-day friendly. Those are the ones that make it to our closets and come out with us on our nights around town. Here are a few runway trends that we’re sure will be hitting all department stores… and our wardrobe.
Neutral Colors
Donna Karan, Celine, Gucci (shown above), and Narciso Rodriguez were among the designers to make mute colors stand out, with a palette including pale pinks, sand, and stone.

The Slouchy Pants Suit
L.A. transplants Chris Benz, Band of Outsiders and 3.1 Phillip Lim all used pajama-style slouchy pant suits, included tapered pleated trousers and tunic-like jackets. They not only look fantastic, but extremely comfortable.

Post-Apocalyptic Dressing
There will be days where you will feel edgy and want to reflect that with your clothes. A few designers gave us ways to to get the Matrix effect, such as Balmain, with all the glitz and creative tailoring.
