Tiger Woods’ Vanity Fair Cover

News | January 4, 2010

Vanity Fair didn’t have exclusive access nor did they have new pieces of information, or even an interview to use for their Tiger Woods cover story this month. However, they did have something nobody else had, previously unprinted photos of him taken by Annie Leibovitz that were taken before his publicity scandals. The cover photo bears Woods lifting weights shirtless, wearing a knit cap, and donning a rather menacing expression.

As the media continues to obsess with his affairs with blonde bombshells, we bet Tiger Woods isn’t too pleased he agreed to this particular photo. “Tiger is an intensely competitive athlete—and quite serious about his sport. I wanted to reveal that in these photos. And to show his incredible focus and dedication,” said Leibovitz.
